The month is almost over - ! 235 shopping days until Santa comes!!!!!

And we have rain again.....so we are working on some of those "inside projects".

  • Ron & Steve have undertaken the task of inventorying the bike storage room. If you have a bike in the storage room that was previously registered, a new registration sticker is being placed over the existing one for the purpose of having an accurate registration list. A determination will also be made if the bike is usable; those owners will be notified of disposal. More to follow on this task.
We have not received a good number of SHUTTER INSPECTION sheets/payments. Please get those to the office soon. The inspections are scheduled for the end of February; this is a MANDATORY inspection.

The Annual Air conditioning Inspection has been offered by Premier Plumbing at a price of $49.99. A sign up sheet is located on the bulletin board by the office. This is your choice and scheduling/payment is arranged through Premier Plumbing.

A reminder....make sure your vehicle has a parking permit issued by Security! Also, please make sure that you secure your vehicle for your benefit!

The POA will hold it's Annual Meeting on February 12, 2014 at 7pm in the Social Room of Building 2. Organizational Meeting information to follow.


The Social Committee is sponsoring a Super Bowl Event for this Sunday, February 2, 2014. 
A "soft yoga" demonstration will be held in the social Room February 7, 2014 at 11am until 12:30 pm. All are invited...this one is a freebie!!

Bingo will be on February 5, Wednesday, in the Social Room; mark your calendars!

When the sun does shine and you all are enjoying the poolside, please remember that pets are not allowed in the pool area; they must be carried to, from and through the area. Children under 10 are not allowed in the hot tub, at all. Rules are posted in conspicuous places at the pool area.

When the sun visits us again, there will be pictures! In the meantime, stay warm & dry; keep a smile on your face and hope in your heart!

Wacky Weather Wednesday!! As we all are VERY aware - this weather is NOT what we bargained for in choosing our piece of paradise!! Be patient.....we will get warm again some time soon!
  • As most are aware, the Boiler has been having some issues - extensive wiring work had to be done and the boiler is running as it should.
  • The program for the tele-entry has been installed and is ready for updates! Remember, you must have local phone number (land or cell) to be programmed into the system.
  • The new "scrubber" machine has been received; Ron takes care of the catwalks amongst his many duties!
  • Today at 3pm the Organizational Meeting of the Board of Directors was held; this meeting was to appoint officers. Your Officers for 2014 are:

  • The Representatives from our building to the Country Club are: Doug Smith and John Rozek.
  • POA representatives are Paul Gillease, Ralph Hauser and Doug Smith
  • We have received a good number of payments for the REQUIRED shutter inspections - if you have not sent your fee, please do so quickly so that we may get the schedule finalized. Thank you!
  • Premier Plumbing has a sign up sheet for the AC Check that is offered yearly on the Office Bulletin Board - The special price is only good for the month of March - $ 49.99!!
  • The Social Committee has a brief schedule of events that have been planned. Copies are available in the lobby (a full schedule of events!!!). Every Tuesday @ 1pm is Mah Jongg in the Social Room and every Tuesday evening at 7pm Bridge is played in the Social Room. Every Thursday at 7pm is Poker night - this is held in the game room. Friday, January 24 is the next TGIF - join the party!! Of course there is a Super Bowl Party!!! February 2 chili, pizza and hot dogs will be served during the game - AND don't forget to buy a square - you could win some $$$$$!
  • The Book Club is back! Contact Laura O., Unit # 1410 for further information. The social Room also has a small "library" of books donated from folks in the building. You are welcome to these books and feel free to add to the shelves also!

Hello to you.....apologies for not posting sooner - had some issues with downloading that John R. has taken care of. So once again, a lot of information is coming your way; plus a few pictures.

  • The Annual Meeting was held this past Wednesday. Minutes will be posted soon. 
  • The Organizational Meeting has been re-scheduled for January 22, Wednesday, in our Social Room. attendance is always encouraged at all meetings! This is your house and you should know what is going on!! Get involved.
  • Maintenance fees were due on January 15! If you have not paid, you are being charged a late fee and interest!! As a side note, if your bank does your payment, please advise them to process the payment so that it reaches our office BY the due date.
  • Information has been forwarded to you regarding the REQUIRED shutter inspection. Please return the permission form and your check as quickly as possible. Inspections are scheduled for the last week of February. 
  • Premier Plumbing has offered a special price  ($49.99) for AC checks - this is your option - NOT required. Premier Plumbing will schedule the appointments and collect the money. 
  • In regards to the bike room and the bikes inside of it - we are going to start over since we did not have much of a response to our first request. EVERY bike will have to be re-registered with the office immediately. Bikes that are not claimed by June 1, 2014, will be given for donation. If you know you have a bike here, please contact me (Lorie) in the office. Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue!!
  • If you are a pet owner, PLEASE review the Rules & Regulations! We have had instances of "waste" from dogs in the elevator and on the catwalks. a copy of the Rules & Regulations can be found in the Lobby on the chest by the office window.
  • The POA has constructed an extension for the steps leading to the beach. Please always use caution when you are accessing the beach. 
  • The Social Committee has a schedule of events for the Season. Copies are available by the office! Looks like you are always going to have something to do! A great group of people are in this building, socializing leads to friendships.

We're back!!!!! The New Year is officially underway and we have hit the ground running....literally just to stay warm!!! The issue of Global Warming has been pretty quiet lately, maybe someone discovered that wasn't the right term to use!!!
Since a few days have lapsed and there is a lot of information to give to you, get your cup of hot cocoa and your reading glasses ready.......
BUILDING NEWS:
  • The Annual Meeting has been scheduled for January, 15, 2014; this is a Tuesday and the meeting is held in the Social Room at 7:30pm. The Owners Organizational Meeting will take place immediately after adjournment of the Annual meeting. We need your PROXY!!!
  • Maintenance fees are due! After January 15, you will be charged a late fee and interest.
  • The Staff has been busy with an array of projects. We are in the process of getting a new floor scrubber for the catwalks, we are installing the computer program for the Tele Entry and will be able to make changes and additions from our office. Owners must have a land line to be included in the Tele entry. Maintenance is investigating the cost and time of replacing select trash chute door handles. We are in the process of reviewing the bike registration and the bikes that are stored in the bike room; once again we will donate the bikes not claimed or given by the owner.
  • Please remember to let the Office & Security know of any Contractors/deliveries you may have; Page 22,Section 24 of the Rules & Regulations state "Except in emergency situations and with advance notification to the office and security, a contractor or service personnel........may do work or perform services in a unit only between the hours of 8am-6pm, M-S."
P.O.A. NEWS:
  • The POA Annual Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Building 2 Social Room; with the Organizational meeting immediately following.
  • a new water pump has been installed for the pool.
  • a second set of "temporary: stairs that extend the current steps further down to the beach. PLEASE USE EXTRA CAUTION WHEN GOING TO THE BEACH - THE DROP OFF CHANGES CONSTANTLY! The POA is doing all they can to assure you safe entry to the beach. Thank you for your continued cooperation with this situation!
  • And of course, the continued caring and work the POA provides for the Building makes a beautiful and happy place for you to live!
SOCIAL COMMITTEE NEWS:
  • THEY'RE BACK!!!  The Social Committee is back and the events and socials are starting! The 2nd TGIF is scheduled for Friday, January 10, in the Social Room beginning at 5:30 - BYOB and bring hors d'oeuvres to share.
  • Bridge has begun, with tonight being the first round. Start time is 7pm in the Social Room. The sign up sheet is located on the bulletin board by the office.
  • A meeting has been scheduled for the Committee for Monday, January 13, 2014 at 5pm in the social Room.
  • The New Years Party organized by the Committee was enjoyable for all that attended.
COUNTRY CLUB NEWS:
  • New postings from the Country Club are on the bulletin board by the office and on the bulletin board in the mail room.
  • Hey Ladies.....A Welcome Back Continental Breakfast is scheduled  for Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Breakfast at 8:30am, Golf at 9:30 and Lunch at 12. Sign Up!!!
  • January 13, 2014, Monday a 9 hole Scramble is scheduled. See notice for further information.A weekly schedule for the Club is also posted by the office.
  • The 2014 Condo Challenge is scheduled for March 7 & 8, 2014. Call the Pro Shop for further details!  There is a need for Men & Women Captains for the Golf League, take the challenge!
  • Don't forget to check out the Pro shop while you are over there!
